Education Desk (New Delhi): The ATAL FDP, organized by Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (DIPSAR), Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University (DPSRU) witnessed lectures by prominent scientists from the pharmaceutical sector from & around the country providing insights on Novel Drug Development Success Stories, Personalized Medicine & Computer-Aided Drug Design, Dope Testing, and also Stress Management, Meditation, Human Values, Ethics and Health. The three scientific sessions on Drug Engineering was coordinated well by Dr. Saurabh Dahiya (Coordinator & Organising Secretary, AICTE ATAL FDP on Drug Engineering).
The 5-day online training Faculty Development Programme (FDP), sponsored by AICTE Training and Learning Academy (ATAL) began on June 28, 2021.
The Programme which is completely free aims to train faculty across various discipline to foster a collective consciousness, towards the opportunities and challenges on the road to a more self-reliant India.
The first day was graced by Prof. Rajendra Kakde, Advisor, AICTE (Chief Guest), Prof. R.K. Goyal (Vice Chancellor, DPSRU), Dr. O.P Shukla (Registrar, DPSRU), Dr. P. K. Sahoo (Director, DIPSAR) and Dr. Harvinder Popli (Director, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences).
Professor Rajendra B. Kakde, encouraged the importance of continuous learning being offered by ATAL FDP as the flag bearer scheme has mark it's place in World Book of Records, London.
Prof. R.K. Goyal while speaking on Novel Formulation development by Drug Engineering: Success story says that pharmacy is unique to have different combinations of studies like medicine, science, management and engineering. He also suggests that the NEP has a holistic, multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary approach.
Dr. JB Gupta (Consultant, Contract Research Organization) delivers his views on Personalized Medicine and Dr. Shubra Chaturvedi (Scientist E, Division of cyclotron and radiopharmaceutical sciences, INMAS, DRDO) upskill on development and quality control of radiopharmaceuticals followed by Q&A session leading a path to a fruitful friendship between participating parties and organizers.
Day 2 of the program promises exciting sessions on Chiral Science, in silico drug engineering and Healthcare startups landscape in India.
Dr. Saurabh Dahiya confirms the issuance of certificates to the participants with 80% attendance at the end of the program and at least 60% marks in the online test and submission of feedback in AICTE ATAL portal.
